Training for Trainers

Centaur Training differ from other training companies in our approach to the setting up of In House Manual Handling Key Trainer systems. Our unique approach is centred around the fact that we only ever send out training specialists that still have the hands on experience with a client group for the which the course is intended.

Risk Assessment

Centaur Training can carry out detailed manual handling Risk Assessments for a variety of different clients and environments including Hospitals, Social Services, Special Schools, Nursing & Residential Homes, Factories and the Retail Sector.

Sessional Training

We can train everybody within your organisation in safe manual handling thus ensuring you comply with all relevant legislation.

Practical Refresher Courses

Centaur recommend that all Centaur trained 'Key Trainers' have a practical refresher course every 12 - 18 months. We can look at any issues that may have arisen since the original training took place or answer questions that you have been unable to answer whilst delivering your own courses.

Site Visits

Centaur can arrange a site visit by one of our experienced consultants. These visits can be used for many things, you maybe a Key Trainer and want to show us the environment you work in, or you may be a prospective client of Centaur just wanting some general advice on how we work, either way we are happy to help.

Schools Consultancy

Working hand in hand with your own staff, a proven LEA policy document is developed, training needs justified and specified, and systems put in place that people will use on a daily basis to maintain and develop a best-practice approach to the inclusion of students with special needs.
